Anthropocene Case Competition (Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences × Bonafarm Group

On behalf of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE),  Yeditepe University is invited to participate in the Anthropocene Case Competition – an international student case competition powered by MATE × Bonafarm Group, addressing real-world corporate challenges in the agrifood and sustainability sector.

Participating students will:

  • work on a real corporate challenge provided by Bonafarm,
  • gain hands-on experience in interdisciplinary, international teamwork,
  • receive direct feedback and mentoring from academic experts and industry professionals, and
  • strengthen key competencies such as problem-solving, structured thinking, pitching, and professional communication in an international setting.

The competition unfolds in three rounds. The first round, starting on 16 February, is an online qualification round based on submitted materials (until 8 March). The second round, taking place in early March, is held online and features an online jury presentation of a more detailed case solution by shortlisted teams. Teams can show their presentations between the 23 and 25 of March, and the 12 best teams advance to the final. For finalist teams, the challenge culminates in a 48-hour on-site competition in Gödöllő, Hungary (13-15 May 2026), providing an intensive, immersive learning experience with expert support, stakeholder feedback, and final judging. Funding has been secured to cover reasonable travel and accommodation costs for the selected finalist teams.
